Your wishes have been granted; Basel’s ‘In Orbit’ series continues with the ever so trendy, Scope Basel. From New York to Miami and now Basel, SCOPE has upgraded its location for their very special 10th anniversary. The new venue Clarahuus, just three blocks from Messeplatz, embodies a “Castle in the Sky” with stunning panoramic views of Basel. This oasis is perfect for a magical art fair experience.
SCOPE’s reputation for the finest and most innovative emerging artists in the #artworld does not fall short this year. For its decade mark, SCOPE is housing 85 international exhibitors from over 20 countries worldwide. Ten of these stellar galleries are from the Breeder Program which invites and introduces fresh new galleries to help them blossom into the global art market.
June 14 – Platinum First View 4-6PM
June 14 – VIP/Press Preview 6-9PM
June 15 – June 19 – General Admission 11AM – 8PM
In the stunning new space with major #views, SCOPE’s exhibitors are just as excited as the attendees. The Breeder Program is the breath of fresh air. Anna Zorina Gallery, and Andrea Rehder Arte Contemporanea from Brazil both contribute to the unique dynamics by posing their fresh take on contemporary culture.
Other notable galleries are Kir Royal Gallery from Valencia, Spain featuring unique mixed-media work grappling with everyday life and urban landscapes, and a Breeder program alum, Wunderkammern of Rome and Milan featuring a one-person show by artist Jacopo Ceccarelli, better known as 2501, showcasing his abstract experimentation with graffiti.
Kick your feet up and relax in the VIP area. Make sure to pick up a free coffee (yes, free) and bowl of soup for a much needed dose of relaxation. Also, the Exhibitor Lounge, which is open to all gallery staff members, has printers for last-minute documents, comfy couches, and a charging station so you don’t miss out on any social media posts. While you’re at it, be sure to check out ArtBinder #happyfairing.
See. Relax. Repeat.
