Those native to the gallery orbit know well the importance of collector engagement. While most anyone can issue rote monologues on their institutional ethos and stable of artists, sending clients slipping into R.E.M. in their armchairs, it takes a certain finesse to establish direct person-to-person connections and clearly communicate ideals.
