What weekend gallery openings are you going to be talking about in the office come Monday?
Well, after getting a glimpse into the oeuvre of Anton van Dalen at Sargent’s Daughters (that was the May 18th, wasn’t it?), you took Thursday night to loop back to the East Side and catch Justine Hill’s wildly contoured canvases at Denny Gallery. Friday, you’ll recall, you saw Joanne Greenbaum’s sprawling show at Rachel Uffner, and Saturday, exhausted but still standing, you set aside your chronic fear of bees to stop into Terence Koh’s Andrew Edlin exhibition. On Sunday, well, you didn’t see any gallery openings, but best to lie and say you went snorkeling. (Because who would contest that?)
Here’s how to use the Gallery Guide:
- The map’s various colors represent different days of the week. For a key, click on the arrow icon next to the map title.
- For example, to see galleries with openings on the weekend only, first click on the arrow icon. If you uncheck every box except Saturday and Sunday, you will only see the galleries with weekend receptions.
- Click on a marker to find out more information! A side bar will appear showing the gallery and exhibition name, as well as other useful tidbits.
- To prevent confusion for galleries in the same building, the marker takes a different shape for every overlapping venue.
